To Holy Apostles’ Episcopal Church:
Grace to you and Peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are always amidst a season of stewardship, though our focus often shifts in particular seasons. Today, I write you while part of our roof replacement project is underway. With all the hammering, I am grateful for your continued support of this building which provides a common space for us in which to worship God. Your continued financial support ensures we can sustain our parish, particularly the gifts to our Building Fund which enable us to address our already aging facilities. Today we remedy the leaking shingle roof. Soon, we will also need to repair our flat roof.
Among these major projects are a multitude of little projects to maintain or improve our buildings and grounds. Please consider joining the Building Committee to help address these projects. The Building Committee is a group of volunteers that work together to help identify and prioritize projects. Their work may include helping to procure quotes for larger, scaled projects and provide a report which includes these quotes and recommendations to the Vestry for approval of use of funds.
On behalf of the parish, I am grateful for your financial support to our operating expenses and to our Building Fund which enable us to use this location as a place of common worship, and an anchoring point for faithful feeding ministry as well as gathering compassionate and generous donations for various organizations throughout the year.
Just as there is much more to do for our facilities, there is even more ministry to continue to do and build to care for our neighbors. As Jesus says:
The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;
therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send our laborers into his harvest.
Luke 10:2 & Matthew 9:37-38
The work of our buildings is plentiful, it is time to gather and empower the laborers. The ministry of our community is plentiful, it is time to sow the seeds of love, sharing in our own abundance for those who live in dire need. We harvest the love and peace of the heavenly kingdom by being part of it by becoming a blessing to others. For our in giving, we find we receive a greater gift from God.
So let us not grow weary in doing what is right,
for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.
Galatians 6:9

O merciful Creator, your hand is open wide to satisfy the needs of every living creature: Make us always thankful for your loving providence; and grant that we, remembering the account that we must one day give, may be faithful stewards of your good gifts; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
